I’ve been trying my hand at watercolor lately; here are a couple that I’m pretty happy with. I see this barn often, it’s on a road near home, which just happens to be Mountain View Road. The painting is 10″x14″ on 140-lb Arches cold-press.

The other painting is an impression of a group of trees in a park near my office; I go there sometimes to sketch during lunch. This painting is 16″x12″ and also on 140-lb Arches cold-press paper.

In the field in the first landscape piece, I really like how the variations of green, brown and yellow unify so well together. This piece is also very calming on the eye.
