I currently have a slow process for creating visual art, but I enjoy it.  I draw about 40 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week, during my lunch break.  My medium is colored pencil, which is usually considered slow.  Because of all this slowness, I thought it would be fun to show the day-to-day process.  The slideshow below shows my current work in progress.

This scene was adapted from a photo taken at Chippokes Plantation State Park in Surrey County, Virginia.  The river in the background is the James River of colonial history fame.  You can’t see it, but across the river would be Jamestown and Williamsburg.  I am trying to render a more stylized depiction of the scene, instead of going for full realism.

If you would like to follow along with me, I post updates after every drawing session to Facebook https://www.facebook.com/terryhallarts and Twitter @terryhallarts.
